The Spectacle Collective Quartet with Scott Hill, guitar, will perform the world premieres of works written for Spectacle Collective by a group of up and coming Chilean composers mentored by award winning composer and guitarist, Javier Farías.
These new works present explorations of both South American folk and Western Classical music styles.

Luz & Leyendas features the Latin American folk music inspired compositions of Gabriela Lena Frank and Javier Farías, performed by the Spectacle Collective String Quartet and Alturas Duo (charango and guitar), alongside live shadow puppet artistry.
Experience the melding of classical and Andean instruments into a sound world that ventures through South American folklore. The music is brought to life visually through a whimsical interplay of darkness and light, with shadow puppet characters inviting the audience to join them for an adventure through their dream-like landscape.
